The crowd rose to their feet as Club Deportivo Álvarez's Albano Gumaro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgardo Osorio. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. 11 minutes into the match, Albano Gumaro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgardo Osorio, 2-0. Edgardo Osorio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teo Valente showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 17 minute of play. Edgardo Osorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Gumaro in the 23rd minute of the match. Mauro Laspada hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Rosendo Soter shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edgardo Osorio but with some difficulty. Apolo Munio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Centurión, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Serbia y Mantonegro's Besart Chotard to fire away a dangerous shot which Apolo Munio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Club Deportivo Álvarez's Modesto Ricart in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serbia y Mantonegro's goalie prevented a goal. Modesto Ricart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Edgardo Osorio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Itzaina came free, but Apolo Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serbia y Mantonegro's Edgardo Osorio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Serbia y Mantonegro from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Victorino Gonchan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albano Gumaro was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Diaz during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Serbia y Mantonegro getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Basilio Diaz hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Albano Gumaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Edgardo Osorio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Gilberto Nayely ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Osorio was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Alexis Santos got a free kick in the 74th minute. The supporters of Serbia y Mantonegro booed when Club Deportivo Álvarez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Santos to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Besart Chotard got free with Apolo Munio in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apolo Munio made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when German Beltran sent off a good shot on target. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Esteban Hvalica was substituted for Modesto Ricart. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Mario Hvalica was substituted for Gaston Iigo. Edgardo Osorio came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Álvarez's Gilberto Nayely. But to his dismay, Gilberto Nayely quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
