Santiago Gau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Aaron Mantzio came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Divorciados FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Mantzio couldn't finish the play. If Fabricio Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beat Kellenberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Santiago Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mainumby's Rigoberto Santxol was substituted for Luis Semeno. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Erasto to strike the kick off in the second half. Divorciados FC played a much better game than Mainumby and deserved their victory. The Mainumby players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
