An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanco Paris in the 13th minute of play forced Altermundi FC's goalkeeper Rollo Duguid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes, Liberto Chalco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altermundi FC and the U. de Tarapacá players grew even worse after the yellow card. Altermundi FC's Rollo Duguid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Hormazabal in the 32nd minute of play. Alfredo Saralegui charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Saralegui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35th play minutes Pedro Alcázar shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Victorio Colipi and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 40th minute, Alfredo Saralegui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rollo Duguid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blanco Paris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altermundi FC's Benedicto Boonen got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Benedicto Boonen off the ground. In the 44th match minute, Altermundi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Boonen to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Alfredo Saralegui got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Aldo Pomar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altermundi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Pomar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Agustín Palacios recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victorio Colipi. Agustín Palacios showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Anastasio De la Fuente hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, U. de Tarapacá's Alfredo Saralegui nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rollo Duguid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 92 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Tomás Berau. The U. de Tarapacá fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Altermundi FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
