The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Serbia y Mantonegro got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Nalo. In the 12th minute Brian Finnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rik Heck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game João Carlos Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serbia y Mantonegro's Rik Heck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Titan Palermo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The Wambalamba FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Wambalamba FC's Juarês Donato looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wambalamba FC's Cris Courtois proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Wambalamba FC from getting a goal against them. Rik Heck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léo Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léo Souto in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rik Heck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 29 played minutes Serbia y Mantonegro got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Nalo. Léo Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brian Finnman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes in the game, Genaro Nalo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cris Courtois having to interfere. If João Carlos Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Wambalamba FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Titan Palermo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Nalo in the 56th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Cris Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Camela struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cris Courtois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serbia y Mantonegro. Teobaldo Luar charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teobaldo Luar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Serbia y Mantonegro! Rik Heck had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping João Carlos Vianna's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Léo Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Serbia y Mantonegro's goalkeeper Rik Heck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léo Souto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Titan Palermo in the 75th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Cris Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes Serbia y Mantonegro got a freekick which was hit by Benito Camela. Brian Finnman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rik Heck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Cris Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Titan Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Serbia y Mantonegro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wambalamba FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
