After a rather tough play, Meadow Village's Jarl Olsson got a free kick in the 10th minute. Emil Almkvist scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 21 minutes of play, MINEIROS's Nilson de Souza made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Vall was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 played minutes Meadow Village got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Lindmark. Serginho Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Örjan Lindmark sent off a good shot on target. When Emil Almkvist came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Meadow Village fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Almkvist couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, João Vítor Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Almkvist got free with Serginho Taffarel in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Lindmark in the 37th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goalkeeper Serginho Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Lindmark. Toninho Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Goiano was the one to do the kick off. Serginho Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Örjan Lindmark went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Meadow Village's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Benê Amorim scored to the left of an out of position Henry Vall, making the score, 3-2. In the 59th minute Joel Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Vall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Goiano in the 60th minute of play forced Meadow Village's goalkeeper Henry Vall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarl Olsson took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serginho Taffarel. Serginho Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. With a little luck, Meadow Village's Henry Vall got control of the ball when Toninho Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Meadow Village's Henry Vall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Meadow Village from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Meadow Village getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Örjan Lindmark hit a great ball. Henry Vall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Lindmark in the 90th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilson de Souza during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Nico de Mendonça sped through Meadow Village's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henry Vall. The Meadow Village support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
