Angel Rubio made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Carlos Pitta in the 11th minute. Soroca F.C.'s Angel Rubio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Soroca F.C. from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Angel Rubio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Deivid de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes, Soroca F.C.'s Guaberto Herauso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chris Slade came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soroca F.C. reached it. A collision led to Ogro F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ulisses Simão hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Ildefonso Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Slade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Carlos Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 39 in the game by Hélder Simão from a close distance when the talented Angel Rubio managed to make a qualified save. Soroca F.C.'s players were relieved. 41 minutes into the game, Hélder Simão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angel Rubio. Hélder Simão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Ogro F.C. booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Lehior didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 51st minute of the match Cleiton Fernandez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Rubio skillfully saved the ball. Ildefonso Lizbeth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Chris Slade made a huge save. Chris Slade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jürgen Klinsmann in the 60th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Harkaitz. Angel Rubio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Simão in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute, João Carlos Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soroca F.C.'s Angel Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Baiano in the 77th minute of play. Chris Slade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Chris Slade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Klinsmann in the 86th minute of the match.
