The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lazaro Guedeja during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lazaro Guedeja kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Habib Ali Picavea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Repiso having to interfere. In the 23rd minute of the match, Ronaldinho Meira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo Repiso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gláuber Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gus Arrelucea in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Gus Arrelucea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gláuber Brodel. Morro Grande E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gus Arrelucea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Paulo Repiso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gus Arrelucea took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber Brodel. Gláuber Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tavo Arrelucea to make the kick off. Sugar Mazuelos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Alfredinho Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Christiano Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Intimos de Reynoso's Tavo Arrelucea got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tavo Arrelucea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Brodel having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Intimos de Reynoso had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
