In the 2nd match minute, Gurdurão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Gurdurão's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Paulista came free, but Vágner Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Pitta hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Vágner Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Vides in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Edgard Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vágner Santos. Gurdurão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Gurdurão booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Litoral EC - CIMZ's Edgard Vides in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gurdurão's goalie prevented a goal. Joélson Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galon Damašas in the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Vides in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vágner Santos saved Gurdurão from getting behind. If Aírton Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Gurdurão's Galon Damašas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When Hortêncio da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Litoral EC - CIMZ's protests and gave Hortêncio da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Hortêncio da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Elias Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Litoral EC - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Galon Damašas came free, but Joélson Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Elias Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Litoral EC - CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 45 minutes into the match, Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalkeeper Joélson Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Pitta. Vágner Santos came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Litoral EC - CIMZ's Edgard Vides. But to his dismay, Edgard Vides quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Galon Damašas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galon Damašas in the 53rd minute of play forced Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalkeeper Joélson Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The goalkeeper, Vágner Santos, was totally fooled by Litoral EC - CIMZ's Elias Paulista, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Paulista in the 60th minute of play forced Gurdurão's goalkeeper Vágner Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vágner Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Santos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Paulista in the 72nd minute of play forced Gurdurão's goalkeeper Vágner Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Videss short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Vágner Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Augusto Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Vágner Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gurdurão's Vágner Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Vides in the 86th minute of play. The Gurdurão fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Litoral EC - CIMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
