Moisés Antunes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lars Gunnarsson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Quintal in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvard Magnusson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Paulo José Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monumento Sports fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Sune Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo José Monteiro to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Paulo José Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monumento Sports's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gernando Quintal sped through Karlsborg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edvard Magnusson. Gernando Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Edvard Magnusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
