Karlsborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carl Mischler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Karlsborg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Flavian Garcon scored to the left of an out of position Edvard Magnusson, making the score, 2-0. Ramzi Roulleau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvard Magnusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Rathmore Lime Tree were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Karlsborg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Johan Dufrenne took the corner. 14 minutes into the match, Karlsborg's goalkeeper Edvard Magnusson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramzi Roulleau. Ramzi Roulleau who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Edvard Magnusson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rathmore Lime Tree's Flavian Garcon got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paul-Émile Brien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Flavian Garcon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edvard Magnusson, passed just outside the right post. When Flavian Garcon fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rathmore Lime Tree's protests and gave Flavian Garcon a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Flavian Garcon. Rathmore Lime Tree's Paul-Émile Brien quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wiktor Karlstedt, made in the 36th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramzi Roulleau got free with Edvard Magnusson in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edvard Magnusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavian Garcon, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute of the match Lars Gunnarsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alix Geoffray skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul-Émile Brien during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Rathmore Lime Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul-Émile Brien to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Karlsborg's Edvard Magnusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramzi Roulleau in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes of play Rathmore Lime Tree's Paul-Émile Brien was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 54 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Paul-Émile Brien. In the 56th minute, Sune Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Martial Hess hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karlsborg's Lars Gunnarsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alix Geoffray but with some difficulty. In the 63rd minute, Ramzi Roulleau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvard Magnusson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A collision led to Rathmore Lime Tree getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Bakary Guinaudeau hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Lars Gunnarsson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Villiam Andersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alix Geoffray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Karlsborg's goal looked a bit too open when Ramzi Roulleau came free, but Edvard Magnusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rathmore Lime Tree had played much better football throughout.
