The AC Rangers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Balesio should have stopped the shot. Rosendo Balesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Txordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Rosendo Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Txordon in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, AC Rangers's Godofredo Basajaun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krastyo Gurov in the 22nd minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Trapiche's corner Albino Remir fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rosendo Balesio quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the AC Rangers defense, Saverio Osasun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosendo Balesio. In the 34th match minute, Trapiche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krastyo Gurov to maneuver through the defense. Saverio Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Cavenaghi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Ruisko having to interfere. A collision led to Trapiche getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Albino Remir hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Neto came free, but Lino Ruisko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Hugo Itzaina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Inocente was the one to do the kick off. The corner led Trapiche's Albino Remir to fire away a dangerous shot which Rosendo Balesio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 55th minute Tobias Inocente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Balesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, AC Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Osasun came free, but Rosendo Balesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Trapiche booed when AC Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Cavenaghi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clodoveo Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Ruisko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Rosendo Balesio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Neto in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Ruisko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Cavenaghi struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Lino Ruisko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Rangers. Trapiche's Juan Ramalho was substituted for Tobias Inocente. Lino Ruisko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clodoveo Neto in the 86th minute. After 86 minutes, Ilmar Lõvi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trapiche and the AC Rangers players grew even worse after the yellow card.
