The throw-in from João Andrade in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Timoteo Basualdo. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Società Sport Osasco's goalkeeper Rubinho Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elpidio Francis took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Lago. Rubinho Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Elpidio Francis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 27 minutes into the match, La Società Sport Osasco's CJ Lewandowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jonas Vingegaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Società Sport Osasco's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Vingegaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Branislav Velchevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by CJ Lewandowski in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Miguel Prosperi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Prosperi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from CJ Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Società Sport Osasco the free kick. Elpidio Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Rubinho Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Prosperi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to La Società Sport Osasco getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. João Andrade hit a great ball.

Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferenc Puskás, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Rubinho Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Havier in the 65th minute. João Andrade hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. La Società Sport Osasco's Gilvan Maranhense was substituted for CJ Lewandowski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. André Monclús replaced Miguel Prosperi. Branislav Velchevski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilvan Maranhense went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. La Società Sport Osasco made a substitution. Rafael Quiroga replaced Paredes Malvido. Elpidio Francis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rubinho Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Francis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 91st minute, João Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Maranhense in the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
