Yves Passot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Colin Kelleher having to make a save. With a little luck, Deportivo Galicia's Ximenez Caneiro got control of the ball when Abi Schrape tried to sneak it across the goal line. Konurbano Atletico were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Deportivo Galicia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximino Terciero took the corner. The corner led Konurbano Atletico's Abi Schrape to fire away a dangerous shot which Ximenez Caneiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yves Passot scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colin Kelleher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Ronaldo came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ximenez Caneiro could save by the left post. The Konurbano Atletico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Galicia were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abi Schrape to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Yves Passot got a very nice opportunity to score, but Colin Kelleher was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Konurbano Atletico's Colin Kelleher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yves Passot in the 56th minute of play. Ximenez Caneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigiusz Bubczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Narcis Hurezeanu with Cristian Ronaldo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 66 minutes into the game, Burt Cawthorne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Galicia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Konurbano Atletico the free kick. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 86th minute Cristian Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximenez Caneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colin Kelleher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Fernando Pratto's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 90th match minute, Deportivo Galicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Velez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Konurbano Atletico getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Hugo Botello hit a great ball.
