The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Yves Passot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Bolborici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Virgil Dijk threw the ball into play from the sideline. Deportivo Galicia's Brent-Jan Van den Driesch quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ximenez Caneiro came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by ⚽️FC CRYSTYAN ACADEMY⚽️ ™'s Ahmet İlke Ertüze. But to his dismay, Ahmet İlke Ertüze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Ahmet İlke Ertüze came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the ⚽️FC CRYSTYAN ACADEMY⚽️ ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet İlke Ertüze couldn't finish the play. Ximenez Caneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet İlke Ertüze's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The supporters of ⚽️FC CRYSTYAN ACADEMY⚽️ ™ booed when Deportivo Galicia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brent-Jan Van den Driesch didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
