After a defensive mix-up in Salmuera CP's zone, Nicanor Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Firmin came out of the goal and Nicanor Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Uriel Isias notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Salmuera CP's Cipriano Firmin. Cipriano Firmin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lázaro Colon made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Costin Duca sent off a good shot on target. Juniors FC made a substitution. Enrique Frasco replaced Uriel Isias. Wes Higgins made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fan Xing Zhou. Cipriano Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Frasco in the 85th minute of play. Wes Higgins made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Juniors FC's Virgilio Satordi. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Cipriano Firmin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Juniors FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salmuera CP:s goal. When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Salmuera CP's Pablo Martinez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lázaro Colon.
