The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho de Toledo came free, but Edgard Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho de Toledo in the 6th minute of play. Edgard Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodriguinho de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Gaspar hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Edgard Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodriguinho de Toledo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Silvério Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Reis United's zone, Perivaldo Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal and Perivaldo Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 played minutes S.C. Reis United got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Trigo. In the 32nd minute, Minotauro's Jean Eger dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Minotauro's Edgard Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho de Toledo in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Gaspar came free, but Edgard Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. João Paulo Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodriguinho de Toledo made a kick off. Edgard Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodriguinho de Toledo in the 53rd minute. Henrique Trigo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Edgard Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Reis United. 58 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho de Toledo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Minotauro's Edgard Marques. Edgard Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henrique Trigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Gaspar in the 68th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Edgard Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Minotauro booed when S.C. Reis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Aloísio Mesquita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Paulo Urbano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eduardo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Marques having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Henrique Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgard Marques. Minotauro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Eduardo Gaspar hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Edgard Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. S.C. Reis United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
