The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilvan Paraíba came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Glauco Abraão. But to his dismay, Glauco Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gilvan Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óskar Aspfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão Brodel scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilvan Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilvan Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óskar Aspfors in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Óskar Aspfors had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilvan Paraíba. Bitelon FC - SAF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Óskar Aspfors was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 15th minute, Dário Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilvan Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óskar Aspfors in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Bitelon FC - SAF defense, Faustão Brodel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Paraíba. The Bitelon FC - SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Gilvan Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óskar Aspfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise booed when Bitelon FC - SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilvan Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Torres in the 28th minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bitelon FC - SAF's goalkeeper Gilvan Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Bitelon FC - SAF got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Fantini. 47 minutes into the match, Bitelon FC - SAF's goal looked a bit too open when Óskar Aspfors came free, but Gilvan Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Óskar Aspfors made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tomás Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise defense, Samuca Fantini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlinhos Vieira. The ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlinhos Vieira should have stopped the shot. Romário Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Romário Romero hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Bitelon FC - SAF's Dida Teles tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Rogério Siqueira was substituted for Faustão Brodel. Óskar Aspfors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Gilvan Paraíba made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Abraão in the 72nd minute of play forced Bitelon FC - SAF's goalkeeper Gilvan Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Bitelon FC - SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óskar Aspfors got free with Gilvan Paraíba in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
