An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelis Witoelar in the 13th minute of play forced U21 Bulgaria's goalkeeper Stoyadin Shahov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Terry was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for U21 Bulgaria! In the 14th minute, Kaan Zoet made a precise shot to the right of Stoyadin Shahov. U21 Bulgaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 19 minutes into the game, when Cornelis Witoelar put in a rough tackle. A collision led to U21 Indonesia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cornelis Witoelar hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Neno Nozharov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and U21 Indonesia's Dewa Cinta didn't even have to move. In the 28th minute of the match, Komang Wahyudi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stoyadin Shahov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 31 minutes into the match, U21 Bulgaria's goalkeeper Stoyadin Shahov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honestra Haridinata. Stoyadin Shahov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Komang Wahyudi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute U21 Indonesia were awarded a corner. Kaan Zoet went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led U21 Indonesia's Kaan Zoet to fire away a dangerous shot which Stoyadin Shahov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. U21 Indonesia were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after U21 Bulgaria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kaan Zoet took the corner. U21 Indonesia's Kaan Zoet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stoyadin Shahov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Komang Wahyudi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Stoyadin Shahov when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Georgi Asparuhov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Dewa Cinta made a huge save. U21 Bulgaria's Stoyadin Shahov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anak Junior in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, U21 Bulgaria's Georgi Asparuhov made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dewa Cinta was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Komang Wahyudi made a precise shot to the right of Stoyadin Shahov. U21 Bulgaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Honestra Haridinata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Stoyadin Shahov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Komang Wahyudi in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stoyadin Shahov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anak Junior hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Georgi Asparuhov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dewa Cinta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Bulgaria's Stoyadin Shahov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anak Junior in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Komang Wahyudi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Indonesia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Dewa Cinta was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Georgi Asparuhov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Georgi Asparuhov really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Komang Wahyudi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Stoyadin Shahov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Aleksandro Nesta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dewa Cinta. U21 Indonesia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aleksandro Nesta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. U21 Indonesia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
