The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reconquistense FC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Eurospeed Asti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnulfo Gamus took the corner. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Damiano Battisti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fortunato Borromeo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesus Austin saved Reconquistense FC from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Eurospeed Asti's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Ahlqvist came free, but Damiano Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Stanciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Tomás Raphael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Damiano Battisti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reconquistense FC's Jan Ahlqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesus Austin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mugurel Stanciu's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Jesus Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Stanciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Fausto Pinti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Austin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Pinti came free, but Jesus Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Pinti in the 43rd minute of play forced Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Jesus Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugurel Stanciu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fortunato Borromeo during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Fortunato Borromeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Ahlqvist was the one to do the kick off. Jan Ahlqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Battisti having to interfere. Fortunato Borromeo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jesus Austin made a huge save. After 57 minutes, Arnulfo Gamus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reconquistense FC and the Eurospeed Asti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Eurospeed Asti booed when Reconquistense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Gamus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reconquistense FC's Serafin Harriet was substituted for Everardo Onofre. Arnulfo Gamus hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Damiano Battisti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Ahlqvist in the 63rd minute of play. Reconquistense FC's Jesus Austin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugurel Stanciu in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Tomás Raphael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reconquistense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Raphael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute of the match, Fortunato Borromeo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jesus Austin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Borromeo got free with Jesus Austin in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Fausto Pinti could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Jesus Austin however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 76 minutes, Jan Ahlqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reconquistense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Ahlqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reconquistense FC's Prudencio Raulo was substituted for Arnulfo Gamus. Damiano Battisti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Ahlqvist in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Eurospeed Asti's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Ahlqvist came free, but Damiano Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano Battisti came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Reconquistense FC's Jan Ahlqvist. But to his dismay, Jan Ahlqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With an all-out effort, Eurospeed Asti's Jesus Austin threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mugurel Stanciu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 95th minute, Fabian Bermudez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eurospeed Asti were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
