The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvinho Moraes got free with Nemesio Handi in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th match minute, Karasuno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Cesario to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Karasuno defense, Melchor Pirro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nemesio Handi. The Karasuno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nemesio Handi should have stopped the shot. The supporters of São Wilson booed when Karasuno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curtis Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karasuno's Nemesio Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Moraes in the 28th minute of play. João Paulo Antunes made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Karasuno's Damian Cerilo. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jörg Michael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Handi having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dé Velloso made a kick off. Karasuno's Nemesio Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Pirro in the 51st minute of play. Shi Feng Yun was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Dé Velloso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dé Velloso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. São Wilson's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Dé Velloso scored to the left of an out of position Shi Feng Yun, making the score, 2-3. After 60 played minutes Karasuno got a freekick which was hit by Moises Iratxo. In the 62nd minute, Zé Carlos Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Nemesio Handi. Karasuno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Dé Velloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shi Feng Yun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dé Velloso ran back to his position shaking his head. 71 minutes into the match, São Wilson's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Velloso came free, but Shi Feng Yun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Pirro in the 73rd minute of play forced Karasuno's goalkeeper Nemesio Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Silvinho Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nemesio Handi was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. São Wilson made a substitution. Reynaldo Arce replaced João Paulo Antunes. Karasuno's Nemesio Handi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that São Wilson were the better team. São Wilson's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
