Ademar Rocha started the match with the kick off. Ademar Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. Sporting de Gijón's Dante Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 5th minute of play. When Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño, in the 5th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Consejo del Mate. If Cayetano Sagrario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Ademar Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Julio Kemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Hugo Orlando Gatti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Aquiles Cordero kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bolo Bolaño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Fernendo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejandro Rufo in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti got control of the ball when Alejandro Rufo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Fernendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Consejo del Mate made a substitution. Javier Betadur replaced Vicente Pernia. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bolo Bolaño made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Bolo Bolaño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Consejo del Mate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bolo Bolaño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xove Høj charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xove Høj the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Consejo del Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xove Høj to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Consejo del Mate's Fagildo Pamanes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Consejo del Mate's Victor Maureo was substituted for Hernan Quinton. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Matias Bilintx replaced Alejandro Rufo. 63 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bolo Bolaño. After 65 minutes of play, Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bolo Bolaño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Dante Fernendo made a huge save. Matias Bilintx struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting de Gijón. 81 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Bilintx came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda was substituted for Fagildo Pamanes. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 87th minute of the match. Bolo Bolaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Fernendo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Julio Kemen sent off a good shot on target. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Bilintx, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Dante Fernendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peyo Fonelleda in the 98th minute of the match. The Consejo del Mate players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
