Dante Fernendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, AC Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Basajaun to maneuver through the defense. Rosendo Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Rocha in the 11th minute of the match. Rosendo Balesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. AC Rangers's Rosendo Balesio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Rocha in the 17th minute of play. Alejandro Rufo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Rosendo Balesio made a huge save. Alejandro Rufo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rosendo Balesio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rosendo Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Rocha in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match, Alejandro Rufo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rosendo Balesio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rosendo Balesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Curcio in the 30th minute of play. Dante Fernendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ademar Rocha in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rosendo Balesio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rosendo Balesio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After having played for 84 minutes, Matias Bilintx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Bilintx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Dominix. Rosendo Balesio came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Matias Bilintx took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosendo Balesio. Rosendo Balesio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting de Gijón had played much better football throughout.
