Betão dos Santos was slow to take the kick. During this time Marquês de Herval's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Betão dos Santos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Orlando Nogueira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Orlando Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Fernando Fantini got free with Orlando Nogueira in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Orlando Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 74th minute of the match.
