Guo Ao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guo Ao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nicolas Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Guilherme Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Guo Ao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Britto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's zone, Guo Ao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Britto came out of the goal and Guo Ao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jairo de Azevedo made a kick off. Nicolas Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo de Azevedo in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Roy Makaay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ made a substitution. Rubens Esteves replaced Hartmut Propst. In the 75th match minute, ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Petrosino to maneuver through the defense. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Cunha in the 91st minute of the match. Luís Paulo Carneiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. When Guilherme Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Ramos couldn't finish the play. The Villaverde Celeste Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villaverde Celeste Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
