Edu Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Figlewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Fan Chong Lei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abutres 2003 FDP and the ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Abutres 2003 FDP's Fan Chong Lei got a free kick in the 37th minute. ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's Darrel Pennington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Pombal in the 42nd minute of play. Darrel Pennington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Vidal in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Abutres 2003 FDP were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme Sena to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darrel Pennington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 minutes, Asaf Durcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ and the Abutres 2003 FDP players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's Asaf Durcan got a free kick in the 75th minute. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asaf Durcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darrel Pennington was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Elói Marques. José Augusto Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jan Figlewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Chiquinho Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darrel Pennington was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Leite came free, but Jan Figlewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Figlewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Leite in the 91st minute of the match.
