Karol Szarmach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Hvitved went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Monks in Robes's Keld Gartved got a free kick in the 41st minute. Tanek Skrzypiec took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rupert Give. Monks in Robes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Monks in Robes's Leif Sjørlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karol Szarmach made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif Sjørlund made a kick off. Karol Szarmach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Duerlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leif Sjørlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karol Szarmach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Hvitved in the 75th minute of the match. After 76 minutes of play, Monks in Robes's Roger Hvitved made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karol Szarmach was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bertil Duerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Leif Sjørlund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karol Szarmach. That made the score 0-8 in the 87 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Monks in Robes's Rasmus Hindby got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Monks in Robes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monks in Robes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
