In the 30th minute Isaltino Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramón Carvalho's late challenge caught a Agua Santa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. Ramón Carvalho hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Jânio Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agua Santa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jânio Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Pinho made a kick off. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Ortiz in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Sidney da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Isaltino Castro hit a great ball. Agua Santa's Enrique Abreu was substituted for Ernani Valladares. After 70 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Marinho. The supporters of Agua Santa booed when FALCÕES VERDES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubens de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Carvalho. Isaltino Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tomé Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Dadá Moura sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tomé Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, FALCÕES VERDES's Juan dos Santos got control of the ball when Nico Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Agua Santa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FALCÕES VERDES.
