Túlio Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Túlio Domingues got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Francesco in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Quintal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th match minute, Enhebrator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Ikatz to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nereo Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play Enhebrator FC's Vicente Francesco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 22 played minutes Enhebrator FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Francesco. In the 24th minute Marcel Mendes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 24th minute, one of Enhebrator FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Enhebrator FC. The goalkeeper, Nereo Pedroso, was totally fooled by Independente FC's Gilberto Gonçalves, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Lucio Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marteinn Palermo came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Independente FC's zone, Marteinn Palermo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Quintal came out of the goal and Marteinn Palermo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Romeu Guerra hit a great ball. After 45th play minutes Marteinn Palermo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Nestor Quintal and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Valente to strike the kick off in the second half. When Marteinn Palermo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Enhebrator FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marteinn Palermo couldn't finish the play. After 54th play minutes Marteinn Palermo shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Nestor Quintal and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Ikatz in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Quintal saved Independente FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute Lucio Ikatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 74 minutes, Marteinn Palermo made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 77 played minutes Enhebrator FC got a freekick which was hit by Paul-Henri Maldini. Nestor Quintal made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ermegildo Endura sent off a good shot on target. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Ikatz in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Ikatz came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Ikatz in the 84th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquiles Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Quintal having to interfere. When Enhebrator FC's Lucio Ikatz in 89 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Nestor Quintal guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Independente FC from getting a goal against them. Marteinn Palermo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Nestor Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Enhebrator FC. When the match was over Enhebrator FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Independente FC throughout the match.
