Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sorci Viola's Flavio Scatena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Birjaio in the 3rd minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Cesare Simone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Real Còrdoba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Jerold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorci Viola were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Real Còrdoba FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavio Scatena took the corner. After taking down the ball on Sorci Viola's corner Arturo Liberti fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victor Vulpăşin quite easily take care of the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Raimundo Birjaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Còrdoba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. Raimundo Birjaio hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Anibal Cordeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Cesare Simone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Anibal Cordeiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice moves Anibal Cordeiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Cesare Simone however easily saved by the left post. Edmondo Bertini hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Anibal Cordeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cesare Simone could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Scatena in the 16th minute of play forced Real Còrdoba FC's goalkeeper Victor Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Birjaio in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesare Simone saved Sorci Viola from getting behind. Flavio Scatena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Real Còrdoba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Toninelli came free, but Victor Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match Sorci Viola got a corner. Real Còrdoba FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Flavio Scatena ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Sorci Viola's Emiliano Delle Donne to fire away a dangerous shot which Victor Vulpăşin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The nice shot from Anibal Cordeiro in the 30thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Cesare Simone had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beppe Zoff in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Vulpăşin saved Real Còrdoba FC from getting behind. Cesare Simone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Birjaio in the 34th minute of the match. Beppe Zoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Victor Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute of the match, Anibal Cordeiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cesare Simone was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anibal Cordeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Cesare Simone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 41 minutes of play, Sorci Viola's Beppe Zoff made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Vulpăşin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd match minute, Sorci Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Bertini to maneuver through the defense.

When Real Còrdoba FC's Anibal Cordeiro in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorci Viola's goalie prevented a goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Edmondo Bertini put in a rough tackle. In the 57th match minute, Sorci Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Bertini to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes, Real Còrdoba FC's Léo Messis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cesare Simone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Còrdoba FC reached it. Cesare Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Birjaio in the 66th minute of play. Raimundo Birjaio got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Real Còrdoba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Birjaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes, Anibal Cordeiro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sorci Viola's Cesare Simone tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cesare Simone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Real Còrdoba FC got a corner. Sorci Viola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Léo Messis ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Dale Corre managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a defensive mix-up in Sorci Viola's zone, Anibal Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Simone came out of the goal and Anibal Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Léo Messis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anibal Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesare Simone was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 85th minute Andres Ferrari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesare Simone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anibal Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. A collision led to Sorci Viola getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Emiliano Delle Donne hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Léo Messis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesare Simone showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cesare Simone came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Còrdoba FC's Anibal Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Anibal Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sorci Viola's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
