The audience thought a goal was coming when Amerigo Toninelli got free with Shane Brindley in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee showed Edmondo Bertini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Bertini. When Flavio Scatena came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Sorci Viola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Scatena couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Beppe Zoff notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Juventus Telford's Shane Brindley. Shane Brindley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flavio Scatena took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shane Brindley. Shane Brindley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.
