When Rasul Sysoev fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Курск ФК's protests and gave Rasul Sysoev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Rasul Sysoev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Còrdoba FC's Matias Montes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aleksey Silkin. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Курск ФК's Evgeniy Prokopenko managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dale Corre in the 61 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vyacheslav Veniaminov in the 61st minute of play forced Real Còrdoba FC's goalkeeper Victor Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Ferrari made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Курск ФК's Dmitriy Akhundov. The crowd rose to their feet as Курск ФК's Vyacheslav Veniaminov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor Vulpăşin. That made the score 4-1 after 80 minutes of play. The supporters of Real Còrdoba FC booed when Курск ФК was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timofey Karaulov didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Birjaio in the 94th minute of play forced Курск ФК's goalkeeper Aleksey Silkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Real Còrdoba FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
