Johnny Banks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Soccer Club Celans Foot's André de Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Soccer Club Celans Foot from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute of the match Malmö White Knights got a corner. Soccer Club Celans Foot's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evert Taube ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 93rd minute, Fabrício Rivarola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Soccer Club Celans Foot fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Malmö White Knights were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
