Fortunato Pizziolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Helberg in the 24th minute of the match. Fortunato Pizziolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Rudberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Dennis Proia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Harald Myr. That made the score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. After 33 played minutes Kronan got a freekick which was hit by Robin Rudberg. Elia Piermattei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Harald Myr made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Evert Helberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunato Pizziolo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 42 played minutes Kronan got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Hellström. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferruccio Cordone in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harald Myr saved Kronan from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gilbert Löfgren made the kick off in the second half. Harald Myr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Colle in the 53rd minute of play. Fortunato Pizziolo made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Evert Helberg sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Kronan booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Proia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorci Viola were furious when Anthony Scevola was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Sorci Viola's Fortunato Pizziolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Löfgren in the 66th minute of play. Ferruccio Cordone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Löfgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fortunato Pizziolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harald Myr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Cordone, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. There was no doubt that Sorci Viola were the better team. Sorci Viola's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
