Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's Juan-Alfredo Astiategui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Peirano in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urtsin Prado during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of United booed when Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtsin Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Emmanuel in the 8th minute of play forced Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's goalkeeper Juan-Alfredo Astiategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Cañas. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Emmanuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Modesto Peirano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juan-Alfredo Astiategui quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rolando Bela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli defense, Modesto Peirano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan-Alfredo Astiategui. The Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan-Alfredo Astiategui should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Hernan Emmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Alfredo Astiategui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cántaro Amada kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Bela in the 21st minute of play forced Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's goalkeeper Juan-Alfredo Astiategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by United's Rolando Bela. But to his dismay, Rolando Bela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Emmanuel came free, but Juan-Alfredo Astiategui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modesto Peirano who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on United's corner Modesto Peirano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Juan-Alfredo Astiategui quite easily take care of the ball. Hernan Emmanuel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Modesto Peirano hit a great ball. Cristian Cañas kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Rolando Bela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. United's Rolando Bela got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Peirano in the 41st minute of play forced Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's goalkeeper Juan-Alfredo Astiategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolando Bela made a kick off. When Hernan Emmanuel came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Emmanuel couldn't finish the play. Urtsin Prado hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Modesto Peirano might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan-Alfredo Astiategui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Modesto Peirano ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 60 minutes, Hernan Emmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Emmanuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Modesto Peirano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Peirano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hernan Emmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Eusebio Madaleno with Domingo Oinaz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Hernan Emmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Bela got free with Juan-Alfredo Astiategui in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Hernan Emmanuel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juan-Alfredo Astiategui. The goal made the score 0-5. Modesto Peirano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan-Alfredo Astiategui having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Peirano got free with Juan-Alfredo Astiategui in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciriaco Alfonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sebastian Hernaiz came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Hernaiz couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Hernan Emmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. United's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Emmanuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan-Alfredo Astiategui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Bela in the 94th minute of play forced Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli's goalkeeper Juan-Alfredo Astiategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sebastian Hernaiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. United played a much better game than Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli and deserved their victory. The Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
