After 12 minutes, Angelo Abastas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monitor Huáscar and the Olds School Pepo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Olds School Pepo booed when Monitor Huáscar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Pastor Lucero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monitor Huáscar's Johans Ortubia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johans Ortubia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Hernando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Hernando scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johans Ortubia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the game, Olds School Pepo's Raimundo Hernando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johans Ortubia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 39th minute Pastor Lucero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johans Ortubia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 played minutes, Olds School Pepo's Matias Amoruso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johans Ortubia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olds School Pepo reached it. After a rather tough play, Olds School Pepo's Florentino Dei got a free kick in the 87th minute. Honorato Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oxel Viñales in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Raimundo Hernando made a precise shot to the right of Johans Ortubia. Olds School Pepo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
