Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Frenchville Sports Club's Edgar Şendrea got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Vetter in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvaldo Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustave Lechat was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Parker Nuñez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Parker Nuñez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With an all-out effort, Frenchville Sports Club's Gustave Lechat threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Burns Baba, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burns Baba in the 13th minute of play. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frenchville Sports Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florent Travers was slow to take the kick. During this time R.C. Marseille's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Frenchville Sports Club's Burns Baba got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 26 played minutes R.C. Marseille got a freekick which was hit by Florent Travers. When Parker Nuñez came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Frenchville Sports Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Parker Nuñez couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes R.C. Marseille got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Teinturier. After having played for 34 minutes, Parker Nuñez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frenchville Sports Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Parker Nuñez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustave Lechat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Burns Baba's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Alexandre Dubar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Gaspar having to interfere. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Alexandre Dubar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, R.C. Marseille's William Chausson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed William Chausson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of R.C. Marseille protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and William Chausson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 43 minutes into the game, one of R.C. Marseille:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Burns Baba made the kick off in the second half. Frenchville Sports Club made a substitution. Cole Macalister replaced Andrews Hayman. Gustave Lechat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burns Baba, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Florent Travers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Gaspar having to interfere. Florent Travers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Burns Baba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gustave Lechat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustave Lechat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Awage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Parker Nuñez in the 89th minute of the match. Paulo Teinturier struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Edvaldo Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for R.C. Marseille.
