Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Adrian Mutu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustave Lechat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Enginalp Kayaalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gustave Lechat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Mutu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustave Lechat having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Lechat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Mutu. Gustave Lechat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Mutu in the 11th minute. Gustave Lechat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adrian Mutu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 28th minute Adrian Mutu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Lechat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian Mutu in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustave Lechat saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. Gustave Lechat was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Adrian Mutu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrian Mutu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Braga Junior FC's Adrian Mutu got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrian Mutu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustave Lechat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrian Mutu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Adrian Mutu came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Braga Junior FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Mutu couldn't finish the play. Braga Junior FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomasz Waldoch in the 55th minute. Adrian Mutu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 58th minute Enginalp Kayaalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Lechat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the R.C. Marseille defense, Adrian Mutu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustave Lechat. The R.C. Marseille fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustave Lechat should have stopped the shot. When Braga Junior FC's Adrian Mutu in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Adrian Mutu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braga Junior FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Mutu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustave Lechat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustave Lechat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes of play, Braga Junior FC's Adrian Mutu made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustave Lechat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adrian Mutu took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustave Lechat. Gustave Lechat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 79 minutes into the match, Adrian Mutu notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat. Gustave Lechat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the game, Adrian Mutu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Gustave Lechat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dinei Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustave Lechat having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Adrian Mutu notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat. Gustave Lechat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Braga Junior FC's Adrian Mutu got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Adrian Mutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gustave Lechat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Braga Junior FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
