Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Bart Vetter made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the game, Mark Elzer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gustave Lechat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tim Wiese made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes SV Bad Harzburg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florent Travers who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Florent Travers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tim Wiese quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Elzer in the 12th minute of the match. Mark Elzer scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustave Lechat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Rambo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Rambo to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Florent Travers shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tim Wiese showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Bart Vetter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tim Wiese. Bart Vetter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 47th minute, Mark Elzer made a precise shot to the right of Gustave Lechat. R.C. Marseille's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The R.C. Marseille players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SV Bad Harzburg were winning 2-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Elzer was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bart Vetter managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C. Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but Bart Vetter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Wiese breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Teinturier didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Elzer in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustave Lechat saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. In the 63rdth minute of the game Paulo Teinturier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 64 in the game by Mark Elzer from a close distance when the talented Gustave Lechat managed to make a qualified save. R.C. Marseille's players were relieved. Mark Elzers short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Gustave Lechat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When SV Bad Harzburg's Mark Elzer in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. Gustave Lechat made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Mark Elzer sent off a good shot on target. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Vetter in the 71st minute of play. When Florent Travers came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the R.C. Marseille fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florent Travers couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the game, R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tim Wiese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. After 79 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Lars Schira. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Mark Elzer sped through R.C. Marseille's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustave Lechat. If Mark Elzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Florent Travers got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute of the match André Neubauer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustave Lechat skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Vetter in the 93rd minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Elzer in the 96th minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Lechat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SV Bad Harzburg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
