An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Abreu in the 3rd minute of play forced Eendracht Vooruit's goalkeeper Armand Pelsers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eendracht Vooruit's Armand Pelsers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Moura in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Eendracht Vooruit's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Moura came free, but Armand Pelsers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Abreu in the 9th minute of play forced Eendracht Vooruit's goalkeeper Armand Pelsers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agua Santa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Paulus Reynaerts scored to the left of an out of position Tomé Mota, making the score, 1-0. Enrique Abreu scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armand Pelsers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armand Pelsers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulus Reynaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armand Pelsers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The Eendracht Vooruit players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Agua Santa were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulus Reynaerts to make the kick off. Bas Van der Vloedt kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Eendracht Vooruit defense, Dadá Moura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armand Pelsers. The Eendracht Vooruit fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armand Pelsers should have stopped the shot. Tomé Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulus Reynaerts in the 59th minute of the match. Paulus Reynaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cipriano Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armand Pelsers having to interfere. Sidney da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Eendracht Vooruit's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Abreu came free, but Armand Pelsers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bas Van der Vloedt in the 86th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute of the match, Cipriano Pinho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armand Pelsers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulus Reynaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Valladares. The Agua Santa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
