Angel Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommi Armentier in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Eendracht Vooruit booed when Beto Martini MZ 20 years was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amancio Mitxel was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Jiang Zhen Sen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jiang Zhen Sen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Neto made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gery Burhanuddin sent off a good shot on target. After 65 minutes Beto Martini MZ 20 years's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihai Encea who took care of the corner kick. 66 minutes into the game, Eendracht Vooruit's Herve de Neuyter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angel Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. After a rather tough play, Eendracht Vooruit's Jiang Zhen Sen got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 76th minute, Eendracht Vooruit's Gery Burhanuddin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angel Neto. Angel Neto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. When Eendracht Vooruit's Gery Burhanuddin in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Angel Neto was a little too slow when Gery Burhanuddin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gery Burhanuddin got free with Angel Neto in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angel Neto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 1-9. The Eendracht Vooruit supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eendracht Vooruit would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
