Atay Türegün dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, GUTIERREZ SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommi Armentier came free, but Nicasio Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Eufemio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommi Armentier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicasio Thomas having to make a save. Nicasio Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommi Armentier in the 15th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Tommi Armentier put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nicasio Thomas. 25 minutes into the match, GUTIERREZ SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommi Armentier came free, but Nicasio Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Eendracht Vooruit's Atay Türegün got control of the ball when Nereo Argina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jiang Zhen Sen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicasio Thomas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Zhen Sen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Tommi Armentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Eendracht Vooruit getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Long Zhen Zhi hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Eendracht Vooruit's Tommi Armentier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicasio Thomas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Diederick Imbrechs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eendracht Vooruit and the GUTIERREZ SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of GUTIERREZ SC booed when Eendracht Vooruit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diederick Imbrechs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tommi Armentier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eendracht Vooruit's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommi Armentier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santiago Horado kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. In the 49th minute, Mihai Encea sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GUTIERREZ SC's Nicasio Thomas didn't even have to move. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon Eufemio to make the kick off. Nicasio Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommi Armentier in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute, Tommi Armentier made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Thomas. GUTIERREZ SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The supporters of GUTIERREZ SC booed when Eendracht Vooruit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Long Zhen Zhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. GUTIERREZ SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jiang Zhen Sen 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gery Burhanuddin in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicasio Thomas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jiang Zhen Sen kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. When Eendracht Vooruit's Gery Burhanuddin in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GUTIERREZ SC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Leenknecht during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GUTIERREZ SC booed when Eendracht Vooruit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Leenknecht didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, GUTIERREZ SC's Teodoro Min broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Eendracht Vooruit supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eendracht Vooruit would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
