Anselmo Betadur started the match with the kick off. Filomeno Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Paulo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Nicholas in the 7th minute of play. If Nicolas Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Formentera's Filomeno Nicholas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Astigar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Florencio Benino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Filomeno Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentino Felo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florentino Felo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Florentino Felo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, VAMO ARRIBA's Anselmo Betadur broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Paulo Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Saul Rolado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VAMO ARRIBA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formentera the free kick. Filomeno Nicholas took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Astigar. Paulo Astigar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 47 minutes in the game, Andres Virila fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Camilo Mondragon having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Nicholas to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes VAMO ARRIBA got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo James. Formentera's Camilo Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Jerrald in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VAMO ARRIBA's Saul Rolado got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 67th minute, Florencio Benino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Anselmo Betadur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VAMO ARRIBA's Robustiano Jerrald got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, VAMO ARRIBA's Paulo Astigar got control of the ball when Filomeno Nicholas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, VAMO ARRIBA's Alonzo Bidari got a free kick in the 79th minute. 84 minutes into the match, VAMO ARRIBA's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Nicholas came free, but Paulo Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Nicholas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Anselmo Betadur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Mondragon. Formentera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Betadur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 94 minutes of play, VAMO ARRIBA's Florencio Benino made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Mondragon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VAMO ARRIBA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Formentera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
