When Leon Sport Club's Tiberiu Ulici, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Leon Sport Club. 28 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Rydzewski came free, but Erasmo Urbez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Lampe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gilbert Duda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Lampe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a little luck, FC Szombry's Gilbert Lampe got control of the ball when Giovanni Massa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Jon Loarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Leon Sport Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Szombry were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Duda to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Mroczynski came free, but Erasmo Urbez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute of the match FC Szombry got a corner. Leon Sport Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner led FC Szombry's Edgar Piechna to fire away a dangerous shot which Erasmo Urbez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gilbert Lampe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Prado in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Ramos in the 69th minute of play forced FC Szombry's goalkeeper Gilbert Lampe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Piechna hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Szombry booed when Leon Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Leon Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Arthur de Alcântara. After 79 played minutes, FC Szombry's Edgar Piechna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erasmo Urbez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Szombry reached it. If Jon Loarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Lampe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Prado in the 83rd minute of play. Barnaba Rydzewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Urbez having to interfere. In the 88th minute Rafinha Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Lampe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Szombry's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Duda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Urbez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Leon Sport Club's Jon Loarte in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
