Zecku's Petre Encuțescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Díaz in the 17th minute of play. Armando Armani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Zecku booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Díaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Soroca F.C.'s Cosme Jaen was substituted for Rodolfo Atarrabi. Isidoro Manilan made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ismael Edwardo immediately put the ball in play. But to his dismay, Răzvan Necula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 74 minutes into the match, Ivor Peake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Armani. Soroca F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivor Peake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivor Peake got free with Armando Armani in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Armando Armani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zecku's goalkeeper Petre Encuțescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 87th minute of play forced Zecku's goalkeeper Petre Encuțescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Răzvan Necula notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Zecku's Petre Encuțescu. Petre Encuțescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cosme Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the game, Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petre Encuțescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zecku players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Soroca F.C..
