Petre Encuțescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Wrzosek in the 3rd minute of play. Söderhall's Svante Stenqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Söderhall from getting a goal against them. Júlio Vaz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Svante Stenqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Júlio Vaz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Zecku made a substitution. Lisandro Vidal replaced Amadeo Pudes. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clas Nørstrup stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Clas Nørstrup could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Petre Encuțescu however easily saved by the left post. Isidoro Manilan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zecku's goalkeeper Petre Encuțescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Söderhall were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Zecku's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Segundo Ixona took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ulf Nyman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Söderhall's Sven-Åke Alebeck was substituted for Zygmunt Wrzosek. 75 minutes into the match, Zecku's goalkeeper Petre Encuțescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Nordgren. After 86 played minutes Söderhall got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Alebeck. For all the effort they put into the match, the Söderhall players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zecku.
