The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Haroldo Pastore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marios Mostratos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Renato Lagarrigue sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GREEN PANTHERS FC's Fragiskos Saitiotis didn't even have to move. A collision led to MFD Eindhoven getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Silvino Mutis hit a great ball. MFD Eindhoven's Haroldo Pastore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marios Mostratos in the 10th minute of play. Aris Petrochilos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Pastore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marios Mostratos in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Babbis Tsaousis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haroldo Pastore. MFD Eindhoven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Babbis Tsaousis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 23 minutes, Alkaios Beos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GREEN PANTHERS FC and the MFD Eindhoven players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes GREEN PANTHERS FC got a freekick which was hit by Alkaios Beos. Haroldo Pastore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alekos Simeonidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Serafín Borja fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MFD Eindhoven's protests and gave Serafín Borja a yellow card for diving instead. Serafín Borja hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Marios Mostratos put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Haroldo Pastore. Babbis Tsaousis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafín Borja was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Nikos Dentsas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Haroldo Pastore. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. Marios Mostratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Marios Mostratos rounded MFD Eindhoven's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. GREEN PANTHERS FC's Babbis Tsaousis suffered a sore thigh after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 65 minutes into the game, Rubén Villalobos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MFD Eindhoven's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GREEN PANTHERS FC the free kick. The supporters of GREEN PANTHERS FC booed when MFD Eindhoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Villalobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. GREEN PANTHERS FC's Dimitris Rachiotis was substituted for Aris Petrochilos. In the 67th match minute, MFD Eindhoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubén Villalobos to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Marios Mostratos made a precise shot to the right of Haroldo Pastore. MFD Eindhoven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Babbis Tsaousis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Haroldo Pastore. That made the score 0-6 in the 74 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Babbis Tsaousis managed to get in a good position for a shot. GREEN PANTHERS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Babbis Tsaousis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haroldo Pastore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, GREEN PANTHERS FC's Akis Mantarinopoulos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haroldo Pastore. Haroldo Pastore yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. After 82 minutes of play, GREEN PANTHERS FC's Babbis Tsaousis made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Pastore was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Tsaousis in the 85th minute of play forced MFD Eindhoven's goalkeeper Haroldo Pastore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Alkaios Beos had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 86 minutes into the game, Donato Grebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MFD Eindhoven's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GREEN PANTHERS FC the free kick. Dimitris Rachiotis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haroldo Pastore. MFD Eindhoven's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Haroldo Pastore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Dentsas in the 92nd minute of play. GREEN PANTHERS FC were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after MFD Eindhoven's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marios Mostratos took the corner. Nikos Dentsas made a great header on GREEN PANTHERS FC's corner, it was just that MFD Eindhoven's Haroldo Pastore managed to reach the ball for a save. Renato Lagarrigue charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renato Lagarrigue the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes MFD Eindhoven got a freekick which was hit by Renato Lagarrigue. Babbis Tsaousis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Haroldo Pastore made a huge save.
