A well done corner resulted in Vilhelm Skoog drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper. 47 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Bernal came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Constancio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 71st play minute Fabio Bencivenni came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rodriguinho Sousa. 1-3. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Rodriguinho Sousa made a huge save. Deilmison van Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roland Delbridge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Vitor Beckenbauer got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asiz Soon in the 83rd minute of play. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Soon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Los Muchachos del 86's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Delbridge came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roland Delbridge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to Los Muchachos del 86 getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ladislao Constancio hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Delbridge was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After a rather tough play, Los Muchachos del 86's Ladislao Constancio got a free kick in the 97th minute. After some careless play in the Los Muchachos del 86 defense, Deilmison van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Delbridge. The Los Muchachos del 86 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Delbridge should have stopped the shot. The ATHLETICO PRaiano players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
