The Velho Barreiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Hidalgo should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes in the game Michel Siqueira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Válter Saldanha. Türkeş Uğuralp struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Iker Hidalgo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andırın SK. Andırın SK's Farid Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Saldanha in the 26th minute of play. Türkeş Akşit in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iker Hidalgo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 30 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Türkeş Akşit. When Andırın SK's Olaf Jarosz in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Iker Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Türkeş Uğuralp in the 41st minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Andırın SK got a freekick which was hit by Lütfü Şenbay. Lovis Wefers was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Andırın SK's Iker Hidalgo threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Türkeş Uğuralp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 47 minutes Velho Barreiro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Naci Tansu who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Naci Tansu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iker Hidalgo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Türkeş Akşit put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Iker Hidalgo. In the 61st minute Olaf Jarosz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Velho Barreiro FC's Fernando Arenas got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andırın SK made a substitution. Batıhan Saik replaced Türkeş Akşit. If Batıhan Saik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Velho Barreiro FC! In the 75th minute, Edmílson Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naci Tansu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iker Hidalgo. Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81st minute Batıhan Saik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Andırın SK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Velho Barreiro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
