When Barlas Aydın fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cascade Park West's protests and gave Barlas Aydın a yellow card for diving instead. Barlas Aydın hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cascade Park West booed when Punk Fiction was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dexter Benton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Amado Jordão made a huge save. Dario Wilhelm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Nayely went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dario Wilhelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Nayely in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Gilberto Nayely ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Wilhelm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Punk Fiction's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dexter Benton was slow to take the kick. During this time Cascade Park West's players had a chance to rest. In the 34th minute, Jamar Orlinsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cascade Park West's Dario Wilhelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Nayely in the 35th minute of play. After the first half Punk Fiction were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Nayely to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Nayely got free with Dario Wilhelm in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dario Wilhelm made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gilberto Nayely sent off a good shot on target. After 83 played minutes Cascade Park West got a freekick which was hit by Barlas Aydın. When Evelio Federigo came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Punk Fiction fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Federigo couldn't finish the play. Amado Jordão came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Cascade Park West's Amir Lee. But to his dismay, Amir Lee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 95th minute, Rashad Richardson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Punk Fiction walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
