In the 26th minute, Sporting de Gijón's Ademar Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armando Armani. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Luís Fernando Díaz replaced Rodolfo Atarrabi. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrián Espadas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Soroca F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Răzvan Necula in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Fernendo saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. After 81 minutes Sporting de Gijón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zézinho Neiva who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Niceto Dominix hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Sporting de Gijón defense, Răzvan Necula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Fernendo. The Sporting de Gijón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Fernendo should have stopped the shot. Soroca F.C.'s Armando Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bilintx in the 87th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Alejandro Rufo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Răzvan Necula struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dante Fernendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soroca F.C.. Dante Fernendo came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula. But to his dismay, Răzvan Necula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4.
